A beautiful figure depicting a mother standing upright with one arm delicately resting between her breasts and in the other she is balancing her baby who is held facing outwards. The artist has wonderfully captured similar characteristics of the mother and child in their facial features, manly their shortened pug-shaped noses, small eyes and pronounced foreheads. The figure has a lovely worn smooth surface patina as a result of touching and handling over time.
