This neck adornment, likely to be of Zulu origin, consists of a strung-together series of calabash ends - each spaced from the other with wooden sections and small early blue and white beads.
The individual calabash ends exhibit slight variations in form, and have been positioned with their cross-sections facing outward, revealing their hollowed-out centres.
