Comb. Kwere Culture, Tanzania
This finely decorated Kwere comb from Tanzania depicts an abstract female form. A carved parted hairstyle crowns the head of the female.
The back of the comb is adorned with finely engraved Swahili geometric designs, typical of those found on furniture and utilitarian items from the Tanzanian coast.
