Rare Animal Hide Shoulder Cloak/Back Costume. Yei Culture, Botswana
Patches of soft animal hide, possibly a bushbuck, have been sewn together to create this Yei shoulder cloak from Botswana. Leather tassels, strands of ostrich egg shells and old glass beads adorn the cloak. Two flat woven panels of black and white glass beads, arranged into beautiful geometric designs, provide further embellishment.
