This necklace, made from the skull of a small crocodile, previously belonged to the collection of a British doctor. The skull retains all its features, including a set of sharply pointed teeth. The lower jaw of the crocodile has been fastened together with a band of woven fabric.
Adornments made from small shells and the feathers of the tropical Cassowary bird flank either side of the crocodile skull. Seeds and Cassowary claws are attached to the woven fibre neck strap.
