This fine female figure sits on a stool in an upright, powerful posture. She leans slightly forward, with her legs apart and feet firmly on the ground. Her arms, bent at the elbows, rest on her thighs. Each arm is adorned with an armband.
This Senufo figure exhibits a wonderful sculptural form. A weathered, eroded surface, particularly prevalent around the head area and extending down to the upper shoulder region, is the result of exposure to the elements throughout time.
