This Ibeji figure with a pair of inserted metal eyes is depicted standing in an upright position. A defining characteristic of this piece is the carved double-ridged coiffure, bearing traces of Reckitt’s blue, that crowns the figure’s head. Adorning the body of the figure are strands of early glass beads, metal bangles and cowrie shells. The surface of the Ibeji exhibits a worn patina.
