This Dinka headrest has been carved from a tree branch into a zoomorphic shape that is both beautiful and functional. The animal-like form of the headrest features a curved neck rest supported by three 'legs', in which the distinctive forward-facing shape of the back leg is a striking characteristic of this piece.
