Made from a tiny gourd, this delicate snuff container would have been the treasured personal possession of an elder. A colonial-period chain, affixed to the calabash body, would have allowed the container to have been worn as an adornment around the owner's neck. In a decorative detail, the colonial period chain, culminates on each end with two brightly-coloured beads.
