It is unusual to find headrests among the Lozi. The crescent-shaped neck rest is supported by two slightly curved outer columns, which slope down to a solid, circular base. An openwork geometric motif, comprised of two adjoined V-shapes decorated with series of striations, features at the centre of the headrest. Over time, the surface of the headrest has developed a smooth patina.
