Crafted from animal horn, this Pokot snuff container culminates in a carved phallic 'nipple-shaped' form at the base. A cloth stopper seals the top of the vessel, and below, rows of black, white and coloured glass beads adorn the body of the container. Four plaited fibre attachments, affixed in pairs to each side of the snuff container, provide an anthropomorphic, doll-like quality to the form of the piece.
