This piece was traditionally used both as a healing fetish and a medicine container. The hollow animal horns acting as the containers. The horns have been bound together with fibre, the wooden stoppers on each depict a male and female giving the impression of unity between the two genes. It is very likely that such a piece was used by a traditional healer for the purpose of unifying the two sexes as one, possibly to solve issues of conflict, separation etc. The surface of each stopper has been well worth and both exhibit a oily surface patina.
Estimated Period: Mid-20th Century (Or Before)
