A low chair and accompanying side stool. Both pieces of similar age have a wooden frame with pieces joined and bound together with leather, on nails have been used. The supporting seats of each piece has been made with cross hatch woven strips of animal hide, probably goat skin, resulting in both pieces being easily strong and sturdy enough to support a person's weight.
The back rest of the low chair is made from one beautifully curving piece of a natural branch of a tree and exhibits a wonderful deep patina.
