Supported by two block-like legs, this long, low-set chair with a slanted backrest has been carved from a single piece of solid, very heavy wood. The chair, which dates back to the nineteenth-century, exhibits a wonderful, primitive form, with its chisel-marked surface giving a further raw quality to the shape of the piece.
