Masks from the Bongo or Dinka culture in Southern Sudan, near the DRC border, are rare to find. The mask displays a primal expression and features a set of inserted bamboo fibre teeth - a characteristic of masks from northern DRC. The mask has been carved from a hard wood, and exhibits good signs of age.
