Dinka Mask

Southern Sudan

Mask. Bongo/Dinka Culture, Southern Sudan

The mask displays a primal expression and features a set of inserted bamboo fibre teeth - a characteristic of masks from northern DRC. The mask has been carved from a hard wood, and exhibits good signs of age.
