Beautifully cast in bronze, these types of miniature amulet masks (ikoko) are more often found in bone, ivory and wood. However their usage remains the same, traditionally worn and kept as an amulet, sometimes around the neck of the owner, generally higher ranked elders or chiefs, or kept as an item of wealth and prestige.
