This is a finely carved wooden spoon with attractive raised amasumpa designs decorating the length of the handle. The spoon exhibits a lovely rich honey patina due to extensive use over time. Spoons such as this were used by the Zulu to stir sour milk.

Estimated Period: First Half of 20th Century
