This wild sculptural creation imaginatively fuses together the ridged, arched body of a chameleon with the form of a bicycle. A white cockerel perches on the front bicycle wheel, and strikingly, the chameleon’s sweeping, circular tail flows into the shape of the rear bicycle wheel. Originally, this piece would have been worn as a ceremonial head crest mask, as indicated through the presence of holes located between the chameleon’s feet.
