1930's Jinka Stool, Ethiopia (Ex Tekalegn Besepa Collection)

1930's Stool. Jinka Region, Ethiopia

Carved with three double-curved supporting legs each decorated with triangle and striation designs. The slightly dish shaped seat also has a series of lovely decorations around its edge and centre. The whole surface of the stool has a deep rich patina.
