This beautifully cast bronze brooch is surmounted by a small sculpture of a bird with its prey. Below, a series of circle-and-dot designs decorate the circular plate.
The piece, which dates back to the nineteenth-century, is a bit of an oddity - likely made as a prestige item of adornment.
