Supported by three outwardly-curved legs, this fine 19th century Gurage chair features a beautifully formed high backrest, which elegantly arches and culminates in a gentle curve at the top. The surface has developed a wonderfully dark, rich and glossy patina.
The back support has been decorated with a series of zig-zag markings running down each edge.
