A finely cast in copper 19th Century Akan gold weight of a farmer. He holds over one shoulder a pick axe and balancing on the other shoulder is a shovel. Attached to the shovel in a bucket. Akan weights cast in copper are rare to find and this weight is a beautiful example of such a piece.
