The container features a fine and beautifully carved wooden stopper that depicts two sitting figures, a male and female, the male figure has his arm gently holding the back of the female., the female sits with her arms holding her stomach in a symbol of fertility. Both figures have been decorated with fine glass beads of red and white. The eyes of each figure have been decorated with small white glass beads. Further strands of white glass beads decorate the body of the gourd container. The surface is oily and encrusted. Such pieces where kept by a Kaguru traditional healers and used during a healing ritual.
