This fine early Kamba figure depicts a mother with her arms held to her chest, holding the straps which fasten her baby to her back. Inside the carrier, the baby is shown looking to the side, and clinging to their mother's back with their arms and legs.
This is an early example of a Kamba mother and child figure, in good condition with a deep and old surface patina.
