This large, unusual bronze Yoruba torque/ring is a material statement of wealth and status. The body of the torque has been beautifully decorated with a series of raised, crescent-shaped designs, and features the depiction of a lizard clinging to its surface. Two small cast figures, likely a male and female, sit on opposite ends of the torque at opposite ends, displaying different arm positions - as if communicating with each other.
