The body of the instrument has been attractively decorated with deep cut geometric decorations. From use the surface of the thumb piano has developed a lovely rich, dark patina. Coins have been placed inside the hollow body so that it rattles when shaken. Carved from one piece of wood with one of the sides sections fitting into the body of the instrument.
