The distinct feature of this traditional medicine container coming from the Kwere culture is its beautifully presented wooden stopper. Its style is unique in the way the face and the coiffure marry into one flowing form. The facial features have been finely carved with a long thin nose, pointed chin, small mouth and white beaded eyes. Old glass beads decorate is neck and midriff. The gourd container has also been decorated the old glass beads. The surface of the stopper is worn and slightly glossy in parts wear it has been handled.
