This exquisitely decorated Nupe portal door features a compendium of carved raised designs, ranging from the depictions of animals to objects. Ranging from snakes and gazelles to the Koran, these depictions are both symbols of protection and beautiful decoration. Consisting of two panels which have been fastened together, a small hinge can be seen at the front central section of the door.
