Masks from the Bongo or Dinka culture in Southern Sudan are rare to find. The mask displays a wonderful primal expression and features a set of inserted bamboo fibre teeth - a characteristic of masks from northern DRC. The mask has been carved from a hard wood, and exhibits good signs of age.
Personally field collected in the early 1990's in Uganda.
Estimated Period: 1930’s (Or Before)
