The form of this finely beaded apron resembles a winged bird or bat, with a series of linear decorations stretching from the centrally-located circular beadwork designs to the tips of the apron, where it would have been tied and fastened around the waist of the wearer. The costume is weighed down and decorated along its edges with a series of old steel beads, which were traded in this region around the middle of the twentieth century.
